New Work

"Admiration and hatred both reign in the neighborhood regarding my “musent touch it.”"

During his Yosemite summer Adams had grown a mustache, which he here refers to as “my musent touch it.”

This quotation and footnote is excerpted from: Ansel Adams: Letters 1916-1984, Edited by Mary Street Alinder and Andrea Gray Stillman, Little, Brown and Company, First Paperback Edition, 1988, p.21
