Accident Report and Kevin Munoz's 35mm History Project

Photos by Kevin Munoz

UPDATE: I found out the reason I couldn't get to the studio the other night. News reports and my studiomates informed me that a man we see around the neighborhood was hit in the middle of the street by a truck in his wheelchair. KVUE indicated that he was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries. In an early report, a police officer warned against the perils of avoiding the crosswalk when crossing the street. There was no crosswalk at this intersection, the closest one is about three blocks away. Just so happens that Kevin Munoz, a great designer, artist, photographer, who also has a space in the building, had a few photographs of him that I wanted to post. Kevin's 35mm series forms a great adhoc history (aren't most histories ad hoc?) of the East Side of Austin.

Quinceanera And Bridal Expo

Today I attended the 2012 Quinceanera And Bridal Expo. I got kicked out after making about nine images. This one I hope is worth the price of admission, perhaps not. Later, I was prevented from going to the studio by a pretty intense police action going on right in front of our studio complex. They were roping off Cesar Chavez with yellow tape. I hope everyone is ok.
