In Good Company: New Art in Austin

New Art in Austin: 15 to Watch is the fourth exhibition in a triennial showcase that spotlights emerging artists from Central Texas whose work stretches the boundaries of contemporary art. Accompanied by a full-color scholarly catalogue, the exhibition will bring cutting edge work in a variety of media to a broad audience.
New Art in Austin artists:
Miguel Aragon (printmaking), Jesus Benavente/Jennifer Remenchik (performance), Ben Brandt (sculpture), Debra Broz (sculpture), Elizabeth Chiles (photography), Santiago Forero (photography), Nathan Green (installation), Ian Ingram (drawing), Anna Krachey (photography), Robert Melton (video), Leslie Mutchler (mixed media), Ben Ruggiero (photography), Adam Schreiber (photography), Barry Stone (photography), J. Parker Valentine (mixed media).
The curatorial selection team is comprised of Kate Bonansinga, Gallery Director of the Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts, The University of Texas at El Paso; Andrea Mellard, Assistant Curator, Austin Museum of Art; and Toby Kamps, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Menil Collection, Houston.
Organized by the Austin Museum of Art and co-ordinated by Andrea Mellard, Assistant Curator.
